Election Day!!!!!!!!!!

Voting is a historic civil rights law that is meant to ensure that the right to vote is not denied on account of race or color.
On Tuesday I had the pleasure of voting for the 2nd time this year. As a young African American women its important to get our young people out there and involved in the voting elections. I was a little hesitate about this years election because of all the controversy that was going on between McAuliffe vs. Cuccinelli . I didn't know which one to vote because of all the talk about cutting birth control and women's rights as far as being able to have an abortion to whichever circumstance.
But at the end of the day , I made the best decision according too who would "have my back". It was a great experience to have and anyone that takes this day for granted , shouldn't.

Halloween Party

On Halloween the Student Assembly of Richard Bland College hosted a Halloween party for the students of Richard Bland. In order to get in the party you had to wear a costume and bring a can good. For which one you did not have you had to bring a dollar. We also sold snacks and drinks. The party was very good we had a lot of people show up. This was our first event on campus. There were 260 people we were not expecting that many people to come out to this event. We collected a lot of can goods at the door. I was surprised that a lot of people actually dressed up in costumes. The party was going good until about 10 o'clock when a fight broke out and the campus police shut the whole party down and told everyone to leave. Then the problems went to the dorms that called the real Prince George police to get things under control. After about and hour everything calmed down and was back to normal.
